This article discusses the role of marketing, in particular strategic marketing, in ensuring the economic security of modern companies operating in the e-commerce industry: Ozon, ShopClues, which are experienced players in the segment of online sales of goods and services. Some examples of marketplace marketing strategies that have allowed online trading platforms to achieve a competitive advantage and provide them with positive economic results in recent years are investigated.
