Strategic development of entrepreneurship at the regional level

The article considers approaches to the strategic development of entrepreneurship at the regional level. It is established that regional entrepreneurship can be represented as a cluster localized within a separate region and characterized by features inherent only to it, the specifics of which is orientation to regional markets for consumption, raw materials, and resources. It is determined that the subjects of regional entrepreneurship are small enterprises and private entrepreneurs who carry out their business activities mainly or exclusively on the territory of the region where they are registered. It is proved that an important factor in the socio-economic development of the region is to ensure the solution of regional existing and potential problems. It was found out that the strategy for the development of entrepreneurship in the region should be based on awareness of the primacy of the region and identification of the needs and problems of the region that can be solved through the development of regional entrepreneurship. At the same time, the need to identify the category of regional entrepreneurship opens up new opportunities in managing the effectiveness of regional development, considering it as the main driving force that is able to adapt most flexibly to changes in the market environment, attracting regional resources into these processes, and ensuring employment and well-being of the majority of the population.
