The article examines methodological approaches to studying the verb in the 6th grade of schools with Russian as the language of instruction using critical thinking strategies. Particular attention is paid to working with the morphological features of the verb, using the Venn diagram and the strategy "Entangled logical chains" to develop students' analytical and communicative skills
