Strategies for social adaptation of migrant youth to a million-plus city environment: a sociological analysis

The article presents the results of a study on strategies for social adaptation of migrant youth to the environment of a million-plus city. Based on in-depth interviews with students from different cities, six strategies were identified: active, passive, protective, withdrawal, sprinter, and stayer. Each strategy has its own characteristics and depends on the motives for moving, individual personality traits, and other factors.
