Country's economic development strategy: approaches and goals

The article examines the directions of the country’s development strategy to achieve a new quality of life. It’s based on the transformation of the economic situation of the national economy. The authors propose approaches to the formation of an innovative way to achieve the goal. They see it in the final transition of the economy to a post-industrial state. The authors conducted a comparative analysis of the concepts of the country’s strategic development, developed by various institutional units, from ministries to scientific and educational institutions. Suggestions made on the proposed options for modeling the socio-economic system. They are applicable to two types of economic development scenarios. The first scenario assumes the industrial development of the economic basis; the second is more progressive and leads to a post-industrial society. The relationship between the potentially necessary areas of development and practical developments in the selection of key indicators identified for achieving goals. These directions fixed in the applied concepts of the strategies of the Russian Federation.
