Stratification, risk factors and diagnostic algorithm of sudden cardiac death in the general population in young and middle-aged persons

Бесплатный доступ

In the structure of fatal outcomes from cardiovascular diseases, sudden cardiac death in young and middle-aged people compose 17.8%. A single comprehensive model for assessing the risk of sudden cardiac death has not yet been developed, and the diseases that lead to its development often occur latently and are not diagnosed during life. Screening for risk factors for sudden cardiac death and further stratification in the general population among young and middle-aged people requires a relatively simple and cheap model for estimating the likelihood of its occurrence. The article presents an algorithm for identifying risk factors and stratifying the risk of sudden cardiac death in young and middle-aged people, which includes questionnaires, electrocardiography, objective examination, medical examination and genetic testing.
