The article focuses on the similarities and differences of building traditions in the wooden dwellings construction by the Russian old residents living in rural settlements of the Ob, Irtysh, Angara river regions in the 20th century. Main sources are the results of field studies of Siberian ethnographic group of IAET SB RAS in 1997-2015. The differences in the traditions were determined by regional conditions, religious and confessional factors. Some of building traditions were preserved: wooden houses, built in a log technique, typology of dwellings, the rules of preparation of materials, phases of construction, the choice of location for dwellings, tools, ceremonial sphere, which talks about the cultural unity of Russian old residents of Siberia continued throughout the 20th century.
