The regulatory function of value orientations in professional activity is revealed. The analysis of the structure of value orientations of the personality of workers in the field of construction of the oil and gas industry was carried out. The results of diagnostics of value orientations of the personality of employees are presented; determined to what extent they coincide with the professional system of values; it has been established which value orientations regulate or, conversely, disorganize professional activity. Targeted recommendations have been developed on the value regulation of professional activity for industry leaders and employees
