The article reports the results of the empirical research of the texts of “Yuzhnou-ralskaya Panorama” and “the Russian newspaper” that have allowed to reveal and structure methods of journalists’ influence on people’s consciousness (active consciousness, unconsciousness). These methods include linguistic ones (euphemisms, tropes), stylistic methods, strictly psychological ones (suggestion, persuasion, method of treatment to the bitter past, human values, stereotypes, method of psychological depth, etc.), non-verbal methods (location on the page, font, font style, colour), as well as methods addressed to different inner states of a person (Child, Parent, Adult).
