Structure of domestic economy: social and historical aspects

The paper presents a retrospective analysis of the structure of the domestic economy. It is emphasized that the disproportions that exist at the present time are due to the previous development of the country in the era of planned economy. The reasons for the emergence and aggravation of modern structural problems of the Russian economy are revealed, their dynamics and social aspects are considered. For this purpose, the relationship between the extractive and manufacturing, military and civil, urban and rural sectors of the economy is studied. The author examines the country’s place in international economic relations and the structure of its foreign trade, analyzes the incentives for innovations and interest in the production of high technology products, the peculiarities of the development of material production and the sphere of services. It is concluded that the imbalance in the priority sectors of the modern domestic economy should be eliminated taking into account the identified national specifics.
