The structure of workers' And peasants' Militia in the soviet far east in the pre-war years, 1937-1941

The article is devoted to the study of the subdivisions of Workers' and Peasants' Militia in the Soviet Far East in 1937-1941. The authors analyze the staff structure of the main police units and its size in relation to the size of local population. The authors conclude that the changes in the leadership of the People's Commissariat for internal Affairs and the complicated international context in the region seriously affected the staffing of the militia during the pre-war years.
