The management structure of physical education and sports in Kemerovo region (1985-1991)

The study analyzes the main changes in the reforms of a control system of physical education and sports in Kemerovo region in 1985-1991. The author proved that there were the state and amateur forms of management and arrangement of physical education and sports in Soviet Russia. They were significantly changed due to fostering the social and economic development of the country and restructuring. The same processes took place in regions. In 1985-1991, the management structure of physical education and sports in Kemerovo region was rearranged. In this period, the party and Komsomol organizations started to lose their leading role in sports management. In 1991, they were eliminated. Besides, voluntary sports societies of trade unions and physical education and sports committees were restructured. The author identified that reforms in the field under review were implemented in terms of increased crises in the society that had a negative impact on the physical education and sports development in Kemerovo region.
