Structural investment policy of Russia

As part of the inflow of foreign capital that entered Russia in 1995–2005, significant changes occurred. In 1995, the share of direct investments in the inflow of foreign investments was 67.7%, others - 31% and portfolio investments - 1.3%, and in 2005 there was a sharp decline in the share of direct investments - 27.2%. In the structure of foreign direct investment over the entire period under review, there was a tendency to a decrease in the share of contributions to capital from 48.8% in 1995 to 19.4% in 2005.
