Structural organization and diversity of the vegetation in the subzone of the southern taiga forests on the territory of the Kusa area (Chelyabinsk region)

Th population studies of the vegetation on the eastern steep-slope of the mountain Kusa (Kusa Region, Chelyabinsk District) are presented. Vertical and horizontal structure and composition of trees are described. The low percentage of faut and dry trees is recorded. The live undergrouth constitutes 80%. The influence of men is minimal. Three types of age parcells-windows (without tress with large grasses and extensive undergrowth), edificators’ undergrowth and generative trees show the spontaneous dynamics, characteristic of the stable phytocenosis.
