Structural and functional aspects of the digital economy

The article discusses the structural and functional aspects of the digital economy. It is established that the digitalization of the economy is a process of evolution of economic, social, industrial, organizational, managerial and even social relations due to the development of information and digital technologies and communications. It is proved that digitalization has historical and economic roots and is based on the principles of forming a paradigm of social development, determining the irreversibility and sequence of these processes, and the global impact of which have gone beyond economic relations, and also lie in the plane of changing social formations. It is determined that computerization and informatization of industrial, commercial, and social processes have created an economic environment that has reached a new level thanks to the development of the Internet, and the development of the Internet infrastructure has led to gradual commercialization, significant changes in doing business, the emergence and development of electronic business and the formation of international electronic markets. It was found out that computerization and electronic networks have created a sector of the economy that has an impact on all other spheres. It is determined that the global digital network is not only a new way, business tools and technology, but also a qualitatively new form of economic relations functioning in an integrated manner.
