Parties of an agreement on the travel services provision

The article deals with a comprehensive analysis of the legal status of parties of an agreement on the travel services provision. It defines special legal personalities of the parties, in particular, a tour operator. On the basis of the undertaken research the author gives a number of conclusions concerning the legal regulation of the tour operator and travel agent activities, emphasizing an inexpediency of the legislative demand to provide a bank guarantee for the travel agent. The paper suggests an alternative way of securing the tourists’ rights in case of bankruptcy of the tour operator. This article studies the legal status of the tourist as a service consumer under the agreement on the travel services provision, and defines the tourists’ principle rights.
