This article deals with the issues of combining private law and public law elements for the regulation of the legal status of business entities that sell goods (work, services) to consumers. Additional legal mechanisms for the protection of consumer rights, established by the current legislation, significantly affect the process of carrying out entrepreneurial activities, thereby determining the specifics of the legal status of customers’ counterparts.
