Subculture of modern society. Reasons for selection

The author considers basic aspects of the reasons of development and functioning of subcultures. The selection of subcultures by the person is rendered as one of the aspects of his self-identity in the world of culture and everyday life as well. The mechanism of development of subcultures is described in details. New notion of ghettoization of subcultures is introduced.
