Court as an element of juvenile justice: retrospective analysis and prospects

The problem of juvenile justice, historical forms and features of consideration by courts of criminal cases concerning crimes committed by minors. Analyzed in force at the time or other regulations, defines the procedure and the limits of the criminal prosecution of minors, on the basis of the analysis revealed the evolution of the Russian juvenile justice, its forms and objectives, which were defined historical context. The conclusions reached following the examination of the evolution of the Russian juvenile justice, as well as analysis of the scientific literature on the problem made it possible to identify the main ways of development of juvenile justice in Russia. The first way is the introduction of the existing system of courts of general jurisdiction of specialized juvenile judges and court composition for the consideration of this category of cases. The second concept provides for the establishment of an autonomous system of juvenile courts in the system of courts of general jurisdiction.
