The author analyzes the image of the Russian manor in V. Tsekhovskaya’s (O. Olnem’s) story “Dynasty”. The article focuses on the features of the manor description, dwells on the ideas of nobility and causes of its degeneration as they are described in V. Tsekhovskaya’s (O. Olnem’s) works.
