Suicidal actions of drug addicts: questions of system identification and accounting

The consumption of narcotic and psychoactive substances (surfactants) is one of the most significant suicidal risk factors. According to scientific studies, out of a total number of cases of premature death of drug addicts, every fourth dies from suicide, the number of drug addicts among those who died from suicide reaches 6-8%, and among those who attempted their life in the past - from 17.7% to 64.7%. Despite this, there are no recorded indicators objectively reflecting the number of drug addicts dying from suicide in Russia. On the one hand, this is due to the peculiarities of drug registration in the country, and on the other, to the lack of a unified system for identifying, registering and recording suicides among this contingent.
