Usually micropaleontologists analyze foraminifers in thin sections, where there is no morphology of shells. This article focuses on studying the outer shells of foraminifers, involving the latest research techniques, namely scanning electron microscope. Special importance is attached to the structure of the wall and the ostium. There is the complication of the wall and the ostium of the later shells. Shells can be similar but may differ in the nature of the structure of the pores.
