Essence and factors of political efficiency of representative bodies of local self-government’s activity

The article is dedicated to the problem of the effectiveness of representative bodies of local selfgovernment. The factors that influence the quality of the local parliaments are analyzed and classified. The particular attention is paid to the need to develop and consolidate the unified system of normative criteria for evaluating their effectiveness.
