Essence and features of formation of economic behavior of the modern business world

The article deals with the formation of the business world, features of economic behavior, as well as the entrepreneurial activity of a business person in different historical periods. Through the historical aspect, a comparative analysis of the activities of entrepreneurs-patrons is carried out. The definition of the business layer as the most important part of the modern business world is given. The characteristic of entrepreneurial activity is given, taking into account the socio-economic characteristics of the development of society in different historical periods. In the context of the extreme aggravation of contradictions in the socio-economic system caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, there is an increase in the role of entrepreneurs in the field of patronage and charity. The historical mission of finance as a tool that creates a single socio-economic space is considered. The author emphasizes the significant role of interaction between entrepreneurs and the state in defining a number of problems and ways to solve them. Attention is paid to the analysis of the activities of representatives of the business world in the field of patronage and charity in the historical retrospective and at the present stage. The economic behavior of representatives of the business world shows the degree to which material interests correspond to the main goal of their activities. The acquisition of goods from a means turns directly into the immediate goal of activity, which transforms, accordingly, the entire value system of the business world.
