The innovative potential makes conclusive impact on dynamical social and economic development of region, being the strategic factor of its growth, therefore studying innovative the region potential remains actual enough. In article the review of various theoretical approaches to definition of innovative potential of region, its structure from positions of some researchers is presented and their generalisation is made.
