Under the conditions of growing competition for limited resources the efficient socioeconomic management of regional development becomes ever more relevant. The article suggests principle categories and concepts for the theory of efficiency management of regional development. The efficiency of regional development is considered not as a correlation but as a state of the socioeconomic system, which can be a management object.
