The essence of economic sanctions: goals and objectives

The article discusses the economic essence of sanctions, the history of their occurrence, their goals and objectives. Rarely do real policies and practices have such a strong influence in shaping the problem as in the case of sanctions. International practice, a new redistribution of influences and interests, in fact, precedes the theoretical prerequisites of the sanctions topic, and this or that political decision fills the norms of substantive and procedural law related to sanctions with content. There is no doubt that such a feedback between practical need and lawmaking is understandable. The introduction of economic sanctions aims at weakening the country against which these measures are applied.
