Circadian rhythms in locomotor activity of spontaneously hypertensive rats (experimental model of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder)

We telemetrically investigated circadian rhythms of locomotor activity of spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR). SHR rats were used as and experimental model of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder. We shoewd that locomotor activity of SHR rats was significantly higher than that of WKY rats (their normotensive control). The results of our study confirm the hyperactivity of SHR.
