Secular novel in 1820–1830'S. Understanding the genre in criticism

The historical significance of some of the literary process is not always fair valued by their contemporaries. That's what happened with an understanding of the secular novel of 1820–1830's. On a material society tale solved many of the literary problems: the problem of style, language, the subject of artistic representation, the social status of the writer and literature in the perception of different social strata of society. However, the secular novel was not studied as a specific genre of literature.
