The idea of holiness plays a significant role in the works of French writer, poet, publicist and thinker Charles Péguy (1873-1914). Saints as patrons of a certain territory or country, like St. Genevieve, a holy patron of Paris, hold a special place in his literary and philosophical heritage. The present article, including the analysis of Péguy’s poetry on St. Geneviève, is aimed to show the novelty of his understanding of this saint as well as following his attitude towards St. Genevieve to describe in general terms his vision of holiness.
