Relationship between atmospheric precipitation in summer season and the circulation index EP/NP for the territory of Far East region

The paper analyzes the statistical relationship between the teleconnection circulation index EP/NP (East Pacific-North Pacific) and the amount of summer precipitation in the Far East region (coordinate area 48-55 N, 125-140 E). Wavelet coherence spectra are calculated for the analyzed parameters. Regions with a high value of the coherence coefficient are determined. The presence of joint fluctuations of the analyzed parameters with periods of 6-8, 8-12 years has been established. Phase differences of oscillations and time intervals of their localization are determined. Assumptions are made about the origin of oscillations and a correspondence with the results of other authors is established.
