The connection of the ballads of the North Angara region with historical reality

The article is dedicated to the comparative analysis of a number of ballads of the Angara region with an all-Russian tradition. The author examines the causes of the loss of some ballad subjects, the popularity of others and the transformation of still others. The author concludes that the crucial importance in the change of the images, a sequence of events and the conflict in the Angara ballads belonged not so much to aesthetic factors but to beyond folklore ones.
