Binding activity of albumin and concentration of molecules of average mass in calves blood serum during diarrhea

In the calves of the Black-and-White breed the authors estimates «the loading» of serum albumin by ligands during of the different duration and form diarrhea. The total and effective concentration of protein and also the concentration of low-molecular peptides were determined. On this basis the following parameters were calculated: the coefficient of the binding reserve of albumin, the index of toxicity, the criterion of intoxication. The change of binding function of serum albumin was marked in connection with concentration of average-molecular peptides in blood serum. The investigated parameters may be used as additional differential-diagnostic criterion at the elucidation of the form and the stage of diarrhea symptomo-complex in newborn calves and for the substantiation of the detoxicational therapy carrying out.
