The peculiarities of culture of the Yenisei ostyaks in F. Nansen's works

The article tells about F. Nansen - a Norwegian scientist and public figure and his contribution to science and the part he played in the fate of the Russian state. In the beginning of the XX century the scientist toured to Siberia for studying it. The collected data and the observations he made were written about in his book called “In the Country of the Future." This work also describes the traveller’s opinion about the lifestyle of the Enisei Ostyaks who are nowadays presented by Khanty, Kets and Selkups.
