Properties of linen and semi-linen fabric under multicycle bending

This article describes a new laboratory method to assess the performance properties of flax materials. Also the indicators of bending strain of flax-containing materials of different fiber composition, various weaves and differing largest surface density are studied in detail. The study revealed dependence of the level of linen fabrics quality from their fiber composition, type of weave and surface density. The objects of investigation were costume linen fabrics, produced at «Vitebsk silk fabrics plant». During the study they were identified by their physical-mechanical properties. The methodology of this study is a new laboratory method for evaluating the performance properties.
