SWOT-analysis of the territory as a method of strategic planning

This article discusses the use of SWOT-analysis of the territory as a method of strategic planning necessary for conducting competent social and economic policy at the state level. The content and the main task of its use are revealed, and it is to answer questions about promising areas of the region’s development which allow to activate natural advantages, eliminate its disadvantages, use all the opportunities and avoid potential threats. The article provides an approximate analysis of these characteristics grouped by various factors.
