Lev Makhlaev's taymyrian metamorphites in the light of lithochemistry. Part I

Based on analytical data from doctoral thesis by L. V. Makhlaev (1979), consisting of 21 tables of Taymyrian schists and gneisses chemical analyses (in total, 160 full silicate analyses), the lithochemical processing was performed, dealing with four types of protolithsuch as greywackes, carbonatic greywackes, shales and carbonate-bearing rocks. Lithochemistry confirms all main summaries by L. V. Makhlaev, but also allows some non-trivial conclusions, for instance, about the presence of arkosic and volcanic-sedimentary protolyths, as well as about the presence of the metasomatic rocks.
