These categories significantly influence the formation of modern concepts of individual forensic techniques, are their components and determine the effectiveness of the investigation of various types of crimes. The introduction of the concept of tactical operation into criminology is caused by an integrated approach to the production of investigative, operational-search and other actions. Tactical operations are a system of investigative actions and operational investigative measures aimed at solving a specific task of investigation. The article considers the refraction of general theoretical provisions on tactical operations in the aspect of their use in the investigation of crimes related to the occupation of the highest position in the criminal hierarchy. The specificity of tactical operations used in the investigation of the occupation of the highest position in the criminal hierarchy is shown.
