Anterograde biliary decompression tactics in case of obstructive jaundice of tumorous genesis

The results of biliary ducts anterograde decompression methods in case of obstructive jaundice have been analyzed. It is shown that external bile drainage is to be chosen in case of jaundice of tumorous genesis, whereas external-internal bile drainage has to be strictly eliminated due to the risk of cholangitis. Endobiliary stenting represents the best method to improve quality of life of inoperable patients.
