This article discusses the signs that are specific signals for determining lies during interrogation, analyzes the results of the questionnaire of law enforcement officers for basic skills in recognizing lies. Attention is drawn to the definition and practical use of "hot traces" of deception, which can help the investigator build the correct interrogation tactics.
