The Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan in the mirror of western press

The article analyzes a point of view of western press on the role of the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan in the integration development on postsoviet space. The author identifies three main topics that are most interesting for the press. The first has to do with the role of the Customs Union at the entry of Russia into the World Trade Organization. The second topic is connected with the aspiration of Ukraine to Europe and the need of a choice between various vectors of integration The third topic deals directly with the integration on post-soviet space where the Customs Union acts as a certain step for further development of the unifying processes aspiring to the Euroasian Union
