The "gorodni" of Tara (results of excavation in the center of Tara in 2015)

The article is devoted to results of archaeological study in the prisonal part of historical center in the town of Tara in 2015. During the excavation, we reached the fragment of the rampart in the area where the rampart and prison fortifications of the town jointed. For the first time we fixed the Tara “Gorodni” - the cribs, which have being gone to make up the rampart. Tara - the single town in Siberia, which had such construction of the walls. Written sources repeatedly mention the “Gorodnya ”. But there is no description, and our studies made it possible to form the vision of these constructions. In the course of excavation, we have gotten the very representative material on the history of the town, economic activities of habitants, their household life and spiritual culture in addition to fortified constructions. Collection of the leather footwear have to be noted particularly, because it evidences about the development of this craft in the city of the 17th century. There were many fragments of mica, supported the glasses production directly within Tara. The materials received during researches of 2015 year allowed to define the general position of fortifications and, thereby, to make more exacter scheme of an arrangement of the main housing complexes in prison 's part of the city. We use to research the part of rampart in the area where the rampart and prison fortifications of the city jointed, and reached the Pyatnitskaya tower of Tara fortress. As a result of this research we plan to reconstruct the detailed disposition scheme of fortress constructions in the town.
