Technical support for mechanical treatment of problematic soft tissue wounds

The introduction of intensive surgical technologies into the practice of treatment of «problem» wounds with hard-to-match margins has caused the appearance of completely new equipment, including adaptive tools for holding, bringing together and stretching the covering tissues, allowing to significantly improve the quality of wound defect closure in this group of patients within the method of active surgical treatment. The review article presents generalized materials of the technical means developed -wound adaptation and repositioning devices (WARD) for a one-stage and dosed adhesion of tissue structures of «problem» wounds of various localizations. On the basis of publications and our own data, the classification and description of some of them intended for precision juxtaposition of homonymous layers of connected tissues and atraumatic suturing are given, indications, contraindications and experience of their clinical application are stated.
