The construction complex largely determines the solution of the social and technical tasks of the country's economic development. At all stages of the products life cycle of industry, a quantitative and qualitative assessment of its characteristics should be carried out. Modern construction expertise has a large arsenal of methods and means of non-destructive testing. Each of the ways provides ceaseless observation of the state of materials and structures, and also obtaining comprehensive information on about any of their characteristics. The relevance of the study lies in the development of criteria for the technical and economic assessment of flaw detection methods. The purpose of the study is to select the most effective methods of construction expertise. The purpose of the study be choice the most effective methods of construction expertise. The article provides analysis of sensitivity and error of measuring instrument shows the costs of selling instrumental quality control of construction objects. Final selection of non-destructive testing methods shall be made taking into account the look of defects and materials used.
