Technological and economic aspects of fast charging of electric vehicles: a comparative analysis of the US and the EU

The article examines the technological and economic aspects of fast charging electric vehicles with a focus on comparative analysis between the United States and the European Union (EU). The study covers major charging technologies such as CCS, CHAdeMO and Tesla Supercharger, as well as their impact on charging efficiency and battery life cycle. Particular attention is paid to the development of the infrastructure of charging stations in the two regions, the analysis of state support and subsidy programs, as well as the role of private operators. The article also discusses the unification of charging standards, the economic efficiency of infrastructure and its socio-economic impact, including transport accessibility, reducing the carbon footprint and improving the environmental situation. Based on the data obtained, recommendations are proposed for further research and public policy in the field of electromobility, with a focus on the need to harmonize standards, support technological innovation and integrate renewable energy sources into the charging infrastructure system.
