The article offers a constructive approach to the measurement of mathematical competences of students – future teachers of mathematics based on the use of project tasks. Technological maps are offered as a technological means of the measurement of competences; the stages of project activities, types of activities and other appropriate elements of mathematical competences shown in them are correlated in these maps. The expediency of the use of project tasks for the differentiation of the levels of development of mathematics competences by students is shown. The article also gives an example of a project task and methods of its use in the evaluation of mathematical competences of students
