Technologies of telemedicine in the conditions of new coronoviral infection: organization of management and development

The Russian Federation is distinguished by certain socio-demographic, geographical and economic conditions of development and the proposed response to modern challenges, including such global ones as COVID-19. The totality of the difficulties they generate in providing qualified medical care to the population requires the state, among other things, to change the organizational models of healthcare. In this context, telehealth can be a suitable tool for reducing industry costs, reducing the percentage of hospitalizations, in general, has the potential to contribute to the growth of positive dynamics in the provision of medical services to the population. Moreover, telemedicine uses information and communication technologies to overcome geographical barriers and expand the population’s access to medical services, which is a key argument for our country. The article shows the dynamics of investments in this industry and presents the main leaders in the implementation of medical technologies. Particular attention is paid to the regional development of the use of telecommunication networks in medicine. As a result, it was concluded that the development of digital medicine is expedient, as it allows solving social problems, for example, such as interaction with patients who are limited in their progress or urgent consultation is required. This kind of service makes it possible to organize an online meeting with a specialist at any distance.
