For the first time an X-ray tomographic study of medieval beads and beaded temporal rings of the 10-12 centuries with granulation from the latest field work of the Institute of Archaeology of RAS on the rural sites of Northeastern Rus' was carried out. The data obtained provided an opportunity to visualize specific features of the bead composite structure, work out in detail techniques of adhering granules to the metal surface of the bead bodies, especially, identify where the preserved solders were positioned in all beads.
