The article named “Technology of organization of scientific and technical creativity of mechanical-engineering focused students” presents a pedagogical technology used in the process of training of bachelors of mechanical-engineering profile to the course “Engineering and computer-aided graphics”. It discusses the goals and objectives of organizing of scientific-research work with students, its place in the structure of engineering and graphic disciplines. The problem of didactic readiness of teachers of the higher technical school for usage in scientific-research work with students of information technology is also considered. The content is illustrated by results of study of the stated problem on the sampling of teachers with significant work experience in higher technical school and experience in scientific-research training of students at the Department of Engineering Graphics of Samara State Technical University and other universities. As research materials scientific reports of students at scientific and technical conferences were used. These studies convincingly indicate that in the content of research work with students, didactic issues of the usage of information technology should be updated. Much attention is paid to the usage of modern information and communication tools applied in educational technologies. The article notes the important role of computer-aided design systems for successful extracurricular and independent scientific and technical activities of students. Advantages of the usage of computer graphics are shown, the accelerated formation of students’ creative thinking is confirmed through the practical usage of three-dimensional geometric modeling. The stages of formation of students’ research competencies are described. Technologies of electronic development of design documentation activating the processes of research communications in the field of engineering and graphic education are considered. The improvement of the quality of the organization of scientific-research work with students as a result of the introduction of technology of organization of scientific and technical creativity of mechanical-engineering focused students is substantiated.
