The dynamic development and increase in the competitiveness of the poultry industry is aimed at achieving the key indicators of the Food Security Doctrine and solving the problem of import substitution. Despite the sanctions pressure from unfriendly states, the poultry industry not only maintained its position, but also ended 2022 with an increase in the production of eggs (102.67% compared to 2021) and poultry meat (104.33% compared to 2021). ). This became possible thanks to the created potential in the poultry breeding base, technological equipment, the production of feed additives, veterinary drugs, and most importantly, the professional management potential of the industry, which has been trained over decades and has experience in crisis situations. The new challenges that the domestic poultry industry has faced in recent years will be of a long-term nature, and they need an adequate response. Modern crosses of egg and meat poultry have a high genetic potential, the implementation of which depends, first of all, on the conditions of feeding and keeping the birds, compliance with the requirements of biological and veterinary safety at poultry farms. The productivity of broiler chickens of the cross "Ross-308" under optimal conditions of feeding and keeping in LLC "POZTS Svezhenka" is: live weight at the end of rearing at the age of 40 days - 2600 g, average daily live weight gain - 64.0 g, safety - 96 %, feed costs per 1 kg of growth - 1.60 kg, European productivity index - 390 units. From the standpoint of a systematic approach, priority areas (points of growth) for the development of poultry farming have been developed, the implementation of which will increase the competitiveness of the industry.
